Description

this lineup allows you to keep kulak... by trading Weal instead of burying him you save his whole cap hit and give up a 4th to get detriot to do it assuming the he passes waivers and nobody picks him up.. only problem is you have very little cap space for the trade deadline and Bergevin likes to have some space.
also i think poehling must start in Laval because he need to play so either Evans or Poehling start in laval and not as a thirteenth forward.. they need to play alot.

This is too tight for my liking. $333K in cap space basically guarantees that we’re going to get a bonus overage, which means we have even less cap space next year, when things are tighter as is. This also means that we probably lose Juulsen off waivers.

Remember when everybody was scared we would loose Hudon on waivers? Nobody will take Juulsen with his concussion history. Even if it was to happen, it wouldn't be a big lost.

As for the capspace, injuries will happen and create a bigger gap.

Short term injuries yes, LTIR and SOIR no.

SOIR doesn’t affect anything, unless one of our young players get injured in training camp. LTIR doesn’t help though, since we aren’t able to accrue cap space. So while we won’t go over the cap at the time, it will make our bonus overages even worse in the end.
