Dude if you can afford to take a contract and bury it or buy it out if you want, in order get more picks is logical.

You should've said something about an eternal cap from the beginning. Just because someone disagrees automatically about something doesn't mean I don't want to go in depth conversation about the subject. If you don't want to have an in depth conversation then you shouldn't keep replying.
You have to understand the situation in Ottawa has changed. They are no longer looking for contracts for picks. I understand you think it’s a no-brainer to accept picks, but Ottawa needs to start watching their upper cap hit, since they are entering a window of competing. They can’t afford to use valuable cap space on players that aren’t in the plan to compete. Byron is a good player, but he just doesn’t fit in their plans. I can give a number of reasons why, but you’re so determined that you need to trade him to Ottawa that you aren’t even considering them. Look for a more suitable destination for Byron. If you’re giving picks, then Detroit is a good place since they’re acquiring draft picks.
As for the internal cap situation in Ottawa, that was last season. Moving forward, it’s the same as for every other team looking to compete. There’s only so much cap space, and wasting it on a player they don’t need, and blocking the younger guys who are ready to make the jump to the NHL that they will need, just doesn’t help the Senators long term. We’re just replying to your replies where you keep trying to fit a round peg into a square hole. You can stop this back and forth as much as anyone else.
If you want to trade Byron to Ottawa in your armchair GM teams, have at it. It doesn’t make sense, but yours is not the only uninformed trade option listed among these armchair GM teams. Have some fun, but try not to be so defensive when people tell you why something doesn’t work.
