Ekman-Larsson isn't waiving for Calgary, He already said either Boston or Vancouver pretty sure he's intrigued with all the Swedes in Vancouver. And Bill Armstrong isn't retaining on OEL either.

By upgrade do you mean pay twice as much to perform at a similar level for a few years then wish you had Hanifin?

I think the big reason he said Vancouver in particular was due to the Swedish connection with Markstrom. I wonder if he would be willing to re-look at the teams he would be willing to go now that the flames have added a few more Swedes.

If you are the Flames are you not looking at the next two to three years as your window? I do believe Larson is currently better the Hanifin and I am not sure Hanifin ever hits that level.

Ya, I am not to sure if Arizona can retain salary, but would be a reduction next year for them as Ryan would be a free agent.
