I wouldn't call Gardiner a depth player on the Winnipeg defence. IMO most NHL teams don't want anything to do with Trouba this year and maybe never, and only if trade was completely one sided. I consider the Leafs right or wrong, one of these teams.

Hoffman isn't being traded but if you want to trade Laine straight up then sure haha. Or Ehlers plus would get a conversation going I think... But it won't happen because they just signed Hoffman to a 4 year contract in the summer.
