Description
Just more of a fun mock while trying to give up realistic offers, no clue what dumba would cost, bruins don’t give up stud but I assume that’s the first asking piece from billy g. Laine I’ve seen ppl say Debrusk, carlo a 1st+ more so I added lauko and a 2nd for tht and retention. Doesn’t make sense for the bruins to really do either trade but I guess it’s a way to get Laine ?

I'm kinda eh about giving up Carlo but if the end result is getting Laine I'd be ok with that as long as get more defensive depth

Yea studnicka is a good starting place for the wild trade. Probably would need to be a 1st not a 2nd due to dumba being a proven commodity and entering his prime. You know what you’re getting and he’s finally recovered from the ruptured pec which means he’ll be more of an offensive dynamo like he was prior to the injury.

Yeah I dont think I want to give up Carlo. I think having him and McAvoy on the right side is gonna be a luxury that the bs can rely on for many many years. I dont know if Dumba is that guy just from not really knowing much about the player except that he's a top 4 RHD. Idk I think im just convinced that McAvoy-Carlo is gonna be a top RHD duo in the league. But this lineup does look nice and is kind of growing on me. Im interested in seeing Jets and Bruins fans opinion is of the Laine trade

Would throwing Lauzon in to the deal be enough to let us keep our 1st?

Maybe? He's definitely a interesting return. But I don't think he's something we would want. Nor do I think you can afford to give him up after losing Krug, and Carlo through the trade above. I think getting a second player back would drop the requirement down to a 2nd. Buuuuuut, it'd have to be at least someone worth it for us. Someone like Kase, maybe? Which, for the record, I know wouldn't work for Boston.

It's hard, because a trade between the two teams is already pretty unlikely and for the most part isn't a good fit either way. Could something be worked out? Sure. But I'm not convinced it wouldn't take something your not willing to give up. Studnicka is probably bad enough, but we wouldn't have any interest in getting a defenseman back in return. On the backend we're already pretty well set. First, we added some great depth pieces in O'Rourke and Hunt during the draft, so our defensive prospect depth pool on the left looks a lot better now. Second, we extended Brodin and re-signed Soucy, whom I like better than Lauzon anyway if we're being honest. I could see us try and pick up a replacement for Suter in the next couple of years, most likely during next years draft, but we don't need much more than that.

Given that knowledge, our biggest need therefore is forwards. What players from your forwards group would you be willing to part with? Trying to keep the 1st is commendable, if not understandable, given how shallow the Bruins prospect pool is. But, if we're being honest you might just be better off giving up the 1st than losing more just to keep it.

It's food for thought, anyway.

@RazWild I get what you're saying, I think in the terms of a forward you're looking for, a comparable to Kase would be Bjork. If you want to expand on the trade I'd probably think about Bjork, Studnicka and a 1st for Dumba and Greenway (not positive if Bruins could remain cap compliant with this idea). Not sure your thoughts on Greenway but I always thought he'd look good playing for the black and gold. But keeping it simple to the Dumba trade I have up above I'd say Bjork is probably the only other guy you'd be interested in that I would move. I'd also offer up Okasr Steen but he's more of project so idk how much that shoves the needle. Or if we could keep Stud and do something like Beecher, Kase and a 2nd? Theres a couple different variations of moves that could be made.
