Forgot to sign Strome. I think Philly has some nice pieces like Frost, Farabee, or Sanheim who could make a Kane trade work. I’m loving all the first and second rounders. Ottawa is how you rebuild. Model after them. Sell everyone for a first and watch what happens in 3 years.

as a hawks not enough for kane and too much for toews. for kane you need top 10 pick or prospect+late 1st+good roster player. Toews probably commands 2 of those 3 assets.

Good attempts at trading these players. In reality of course, trading $10M cap hits for players in their 30's is impossible. Kane is still a top 10 forward. The trouble is a team trading for him would likely view him as a finishing piece to put them over the top, in which case they wouldn't have room for him. Toews is still good, but not $10M good. I've seen other posts where the Blackhawks retain salary on both.
