Description
Had to make a realistic cap dump. I would say that they would have to get rid of a second rounder. The Keller trade makes somewhat no sense for Arizona but I really want this to happen in real life. The best thing I could think of for Arizona in that trade is freeing up cap space. I feel like this Sabres team could do something... finally.

No thank you. It's going to take a lot more than that to absorb Okposo's contract and we JUST signed Merrill. Flipping him right away is just poor form for a GM.

None of this is close.

Okposo for a guy they just signed. Detroit got a 2nd for 1 year of staal.

Okposo would cost us a 1st and a 2nd.

Kyle Okposo 32 years old making $18 million for 3 years, Take far more then a single 2nd round pick to move that contract.

In fairness we paid his bonus for this year already, so its 15 million, but the cap hit is still 6 and it's still obviously a no from detriot

Looking back at it now, I probably could have added a first to the Keller deal, but I think the new gm in Arizona wouldn't be totally opposed to moving Keller. I understand it's a stretch though. But the Detroit deal yes I agree, I did some research after the first comments and I realized that it wasn't a smart move for Yzerman.

The back and forth between Vancouver and Detroit over Eriksson almost always ends around a 1st and a good prospect. You're never going to be able to please everyone but most think that is about the value is and that's for 2yrs at $6M.

He add the 2 best Sabre d prospects and Mitts who the Sabres havent given up on so theyre still treating him as 8 overall. And the expansion is coming up

Obviously, I just go as bad as the original deal. It would take some of those pieces not all of them

3 years at 6 million would probably take all of it.

I only sent that to you because he participated in those discussions. I wasn't trying to call you out or anything I was just to give a reference point. I know you know how frustrating it gets when you get teams are trying to pawn off cap dump as good trades or teams trying to force the bottom half of their roster for 2nds and 3rds and acting like they are doing you a favor. I knew he wasn't serious and it was more of a reaction but I also read most of his posts. If I offended you you or just pissed you off I am sorry it was never my intention.
