I like this, the only switch I would make it have RNH on the first line over Kahun. Or maybe have Ennis playing with McDavid in some way as Ennis was the speedy winger that McDavid needed. Overall if I'm an Oilers fan I would be happy

I agree, no chance am I moving Larsson out for Bouchard to come in unless he and the group as a whole are killing it.

One thing that leads me to be available is the fact they signed Russ for expansion purposes and not Larsson, maybe reading too much into things but its possible.

For the 1.25 mil price tag, and that Russell should only be required to play LHD from here on out, I don't see Larsson connected to Russ's situation. Also, I think going into next season, Bouchard and Barrie are gunning for the same spot (Barrie will just walk if Bouch is really good). I think Larsson is quite likely to be resigned at a cheaper rate to be honest, and that could happen before the draft if they want to use him as bait to avoid a different Dman being taken, or after the ED.

Fair, but I have my doubts Larsson is at the point of his career where he would take too cheap of deal. How much are you thinking for Larsson, $2M or $3M per?

I think something around 3 mil, unless he has a significant bounce back season. Not sure he could get much more on the market. And with Bear as the 2 way D, Bouch/Barrie as offensive, and Larsson as the shut down, the fit is just really good still.

I couldn't agree more, my concerns are: 1. his health and 2. the contract (as i mentioned before)
With that being said IF Bear is able to take on more minutes 24+ range and Bouchard can carry his fair share I would put money on a return to form for Larsson

Yeah if he has some injury troubles again, I see a 1 or 2 year deal wherever he goes. Just the reality right now. In any case, I think one of Larsson or Barrie will be resigned, so the Oil should be set on RHD with one of them, Bear and Bouchard. It's been a long time since that was a thing! Now, just hope the LHD is okay without Klef, and that Klef can eventually be back in full form. So long as Klef is not done for his career and can take the year to get back to 100%, we're looking at:
Nurse-Bear
Klef-Barrie or Larsson
Jones-Bouchard
Samo and Broberg pushing.

I agree, this season Broberg probably has an easier time winning a spot over one of Jones/Russell than Bouch does on the Right side where there are arguably 3 top 4 D. But Broberg will need to really outplay one of those two for a 9 game cup of coffee for Holland to make that choice. Would love to see him prove it though!

But, next season, if Klef is back and one of Larsson/Barrie is gone, I see them both having equal shots at making it for 2021-22.
