Winnipeg doesn't have the cap space for Keith and Keith won't waive for Winnipeg

It's possible he won't waive, but it's his hometown and he might not be down for a few years of Chicago being bad. I've given Winnipeg more space by adding Perreault and retaining on Keith.

Keith was born in Winnipeg, but moved when he was one. So, it's not his hometown.

I would want Winnipeg stay away. That's too many good young players to give away for a 37 year old that isn't really needed.

I don't disagree. I think buying on Keith at this point in his career is a bad move. I think buying on Kane and Toews are bad moves too. But I still think teams will do it, and I'm just considering one way it could play out.
