I don't see 8 years for Yamamoto just yet. Max I see is 3-4 to make sure he'll end the contract as an RFA. I think this would be the year Neal gets bought out so that the buyout penalty would end the year Drai will need a new contract, as well as McDavid a year later. Solid though, nice work.

Nuge has a very dangerous contract. 8yr @ 7.25M is quite overpaid in both term and money. Overpay on one, never both.
Suggest 5yr 7M (takes him to 32 where we can re-neg at the correct price); or 6yr @ 6.25M (takes him to 33, ditto re-neg at correct price).

Bouchard seems poised to start the year for a 9 game cup of coffee barring major jump/injury to one of Larsson, Bear, Barrie. Could be one of the first callups too. Would also benefit 1 more year in the A.

Fanboy bias. I am a HUGE supporter of keeping Nuge an Oiler for life, but I cannot defend anything more than 6 years at roughly same money or 5 years with a slight raise.
