Description
I think the DeBrusk and DuClair contracts are fair. Don't know how we can get a quality LHD while keeping JD.

Bjork isn't a fourth liner. Keep him on the third and improve LD instead.

For startErs moving john Moore and Bjork would free up cap space for an addition. Now who to get, idk. Is Vatenen still a FA? Trade wise maybe too early to tell whose available but someone like hjamrlsson from ARI (definitely fcked up the spelling of his name).

If Bjork moves up, then who moves down?

In reality it means not signing Duclair, which i think is the way to go. I think you nailed how the left side of the D will start the season, unless they sign chara which i think is likely.

I think that Chara will eventually return later in the season for his last hurrah and cup. I'm ok with not signing DuClair as in hindsight, Frederic or Khulman could fill in quite well.

The more I think on it, I’m starting to get the sense that the Bs are just gonna ride towards the season with the team that they have (plus maybe Z) and see what the league looks like in the winter. If teams get desperate money wise (real $ too, not just cap $) then they can use their cap flexibility to take on someone with term and money.
Otherwise I’m starting to see them rolling with what they already have

I don't think Chara is coming back.
A. if he sits out that's bad news, he is already a statue out there, sitting out will make that worse.
B. It's the covid thing. I don't see him as doing a bubble all year etc.... He's gonna be 44 years old.
The absurd rules etc... might be the breaking point for him.
Not to mention the risk probably isn't worth the reward at this point. He's not going to be making all that much to return.
