What similar players are you talking about? Heinen 2.8, Olofsson 3.05, Toffoli much better and proven player at 4.25x4

Debrusk is better than all of them.

Labanc got 4 at 4.8. Similar production.

Bertuzzi arb case helped. 3.5.

Debrusk is better than Greenway, hardly better than Mangiapane, and not as good as Olofsson. You look at those three and he falls at roughly 2.8 which is where I think he is valued. Labanc got 4.8 after taking team friendly second contract. Bertuzzi is significantly better than Debrusk and still only has 3.5.

Debrusk wanted long term and 5+ years while the money in the league was good, salary cap was going up, that is never happening now, he will take a 1 or 2 year deal at roughly 3M
