-you can't trade lehner
-they already said flower is staying
-can't trade any of the top 4 Dmen
-can't trade any of your top 7 forwards especially the OG top line
-only logical way is lose stephenson and/or some other overpaid depth guys (holden, reaves etc.)

I don't think you can get full value for him, like phillip danault for example, hes more valuable to his team than he would be to any other team in a trade

Luxuries like that tend to win cups. Martinez seems like the most convenient answer other than Fleury.

Anytime someone is on IR or anything their salary doesn’t count. We went all last year doing it

Right, but you still have to be under the cap on opening night. It’s a big risk to waive a guy like that, especially once injuries around the league come into play.

I think Reaves stays no matter what he is probably the heart of vegas besides MAF. The fans (me included) would be so sad to see Reaves go

Reaves isn't a good hockey player.
He'd be the first guy I'd move.

He is a good locker room presence and vegas loves him. Besides he isn't there to put up 30 or 40 points he is an enforcer that throws the body around.

yeah most teams don't even carry an enforcer today. They have been evolved out on most teams. Fighting is way down. They are a better team with Dougan on the ice than Reaves.

and he is being paid about a million dollars more than he is worth per year

Who Reaves? I dont think so, he is put on the team to lay hits and get in the other teams head. I would trade holden before Reaves.

I mean I think if it comes to it they would trade Reaves but only as a last resort. I think he is a good guy to have in the locker room and with vegas averages around 10 goals a season and for a 4th line enforcer isn't terrible.
