...uh yeah he is lol - he’s statistically been better (in 2018) than 2015 Cary price (won every award) and he was better than the Bob last year when he won and he got 1 vote combined in both those years I believe. He’s hella disrespected

I mean, it sounds ridiculous, but look at their numbers the past 2 years.

MK: 93 GP, 2.85 GAA, .911 Sv%, 32.0 SA/60, 29.2 Sv/60
JG: 109 GP, 2.92 GAA, .911 Sv%, 32.7 SA/60, 29.8 Sv/60

Why give up a whack of assets for a guy who could well provide zero net gain? It doesn't make sense.

Using more advanced stats and EDM is also a much better team? The ducks were a lottery team and have played worse than EDM. Gibson would provide you gain - even Murray and/ or the coaches of the ducks have once acknowledged that they ran Gibson into the ground and were “hurting him” as at points he was literally carrying the team and being worn down - his managements words.

it would most likely take an overpay that no team would really want to pay for a goaltender. Anaheim (that I know of) doesn't have someone coming up in their pipeline to replace gibson, so they'd have to be heavily convinced.

Not that I think trading Gibby makes any sense, but Lukas Dostal has been prettttttty solid as an 18, 19 and now 20 year old in the SM-Liiga...

Koskinen had a better sv% last year by far despite playing behind a more porous defense. I get that it was a down year for Gibson and he's the more talented goalie, but there's no point in blowing your brains out chasing a guy who *might* provide better goaltending. Edmonton should focus on getting a better 1B instead.

"More porous defense"?

Gibby played behind a team that had Manson miss 20 games, Fowler miss 11 games, Hampus miss 14, an offense that was powered by an offense that had only 3 players top 40 points (Led by Rico @ 43 pts.), and a defensive system that

That what?

Gibson faced 31.28 shots against/60 last year, Koskinen faced 33.57.
Gibson faced 8.67 HDSA/60 last year, Koskinen faced 9.16.

I think "more porous" is apt.
