Description

-The top 6 seems pretty locked in and I like these two lines in particular
-It's hard to ignore Ruotsalainen's performance in Liiga so far, he is NHL ready, but the Sabres will probably be stupid enough to delay it another year. The third line of R2/Cozens/Thompson has a lot of potential, especially with not holding a lot of scoring responsibility based on the top 6
-4th line should look like this, I'm a bit scared of how they will perform defensively, but you can filter Lazar or Reider through if we need more defense
-This top pair should be locked in, let Dahlin play 25mins a game, he is ready and has chemistry with Miller
-Bean/Fleury and Joki would be a perfect pairing, both are great on both ends of the ice and are due for top 4 minutes
-Very good bottom pair here, McCabe and Montour balance out great with offense and defense
-With a shortened season, we may not even have to replace Hutton. Just give him like 15 games and pray, Ullmark has shown me enough that he can be a league-average starter

They have Slavvin, Skjei, and Gardiner all signed long term, as well as Joakim as the 7th D. I don't know where Bean and Fleury fit in this lineup, they both seem ready for increased responsibility at the NHL level. I think the Sabres should go for whichever one they value less

Mitts still has untapped potential that I think could work in Carolina at some point, and Ryan Johnson is a 1st round pick LHD to fill out Carolina's pipeline. He will likely take a few years but has a lot of talent
