This is almost exactly the way I see it. Very realistic but also a lot of potential.
They have 2 proven #1 forward lines. Not too many teams can say that.
Their bottom 6 forward group all have a lot to prove but they added grit & good depth scoring in Thornton, Simmons, Vesey & Barabanov. Kerfoot also needs a bounce back year. This might be a wildcard for the leafs. a good thing is they have engvall, robertson, anderson pushing for ice time.
Brodie & Reily form a good #1 unit.
Muzzin fits well at #3 while they have a bunch of guys battling for that #4 spot inchluding Letonen, Holl, Dermott, Sandin, Bogosian. I think that's enough competition to confidently say they will have a good top 4 next season.
They also have good depth in the bottom pairing. The addition of bogosian, hoping letonen can make an impact but not sure, dermott should have a bounce back year, sandin is a great player but small and getting better / stronger and will definately push for minutes, holl looked great at times last year and should be getting better but might look great in a bottom pairing
addding campbell & dell in goal gives them some decent depth in goal and anderson will most definatley have a good bounce back year in his contract season.
