That’s a hard no, this trade legit doesn’t provide any added value to the avs

The move our their 3c for a dman who would be in the ahl with the avs depth at d already,,,come on man

As a cap dump next season 2021-22, not to be an ahl depth dman this season

If Jost can take over 3C for the Avs this year and/or Newhook continues on his trajectory, then I can see Compher being available in the off season. Moving him now would be a bad idea though, as it would leave the team a bit thin down the middle.

I would think maybe a 2022 second would work for Colorado's side. It depends on what the market looks like after the expansion draft though and it's possible I may be high on the ask.

Connor Timmins and byram...you know avs prized d prospects will be on the team, that’s why Ian cole is probably the avs 7th dman this year. And you think Riikola is higher on the depth chart than those 3...yikes

But you do you.

if they are going to spend 3.5 million on a player they should just OS Cirelli. TB can't match, it might be the best offer he gets, will only cost a 2nd.

Nope I don’t, but I know Timmons is a right handed shot and a RHD. But ok, good luck with Ian Cole as your 7th D then.

His is right about Riikola not moving the needle for Colorado. They already have Toews, Girard, and Graves on the left side. Cole can play either side, and it's possible Byram makes the team too. There is simply no room for Riikola.

Yep, the Avs are deep at D. Rikkola plays both sides equally as well too. Everyone, fans and analysts were screaming last year for him to play over Schultz on the 3rd pairing RHD or JJ on the LHD. He’s slid into the 2nd pairing D too when players were hurt or needed a rest. He has had two good years coming over from Russia at 25 as a FA, getting used to the smaller ice and NHL differences. Even though he’s played limited games; It hasn’t been limited, sheltered minutes. Last year he played 14 minutes a game and the year before he played almost 17(16:41). Good luck!! I hope u don’t need more help on D this year.
