Trouba has a NMC and there is essentially no chance that he would waive that to go to Canada (and Vancouver couldn't take on the cap hit anyway).

Few things:

1. Jacob Trouba has a full NMC and I doubt he’d waive to go to VAN
2. VAN doesn’t need or want Alexandar Georgiev
3. VAN is pretty high on Dmitri Zlodeyev, he looks like a steal, even the first.

You really gotta look at the other team's cap situation at minimum. Otherwise you're kinda just suggesting nothing. Or explain it "Vancouver ditches the Sutter and Eriksson contracts somehow" or something like that.

Vancouver can't afford that, doesn;t need a goalie and Trouba won't waive. Soooo yeah.

They lost Tanev & Markstrom, and they're probably gonna lose Edler too. Trouba and Georgiev would make sense for them if it'd work out cap wise

Canucks have no need for Georgiev and I want nothing to do with Trouba's contract. Also, Zlodeyev was a steal so you aren't getting him

This post (as a Jets fan) makes me happy.
While the Hayes deal was bad, it was fully redeemed by the Trouba trade. A Pionk/Heinola pairing in 20-21 will cost less than half of Trouba on his own. Amazing.
Jets also say no to that trade. Gus is the future 3-4C who can win face offs and play good D. Strome got some serious dough after a great year with Panarin. Jets can’t afford that/won’t bite.

Since the trade is so impractical for the Canucks cap wise.....as an illustration, the Canucks would be 100 times better off keeping the pick and prospect and using the 10m to spend on UFAs.
By the way, Trouba is the seventh highest paid NHL Dman....not good value.

The Winnipeg Jets LOVE David Gustafsson. Not sure they would trade him from Strome
