I mean if you watch the highlights he also creates plays and can snipe from anywhere. The only downside to him is his size and that's not even a knock.

If you bothered to look Detroit is drafting a huge D core, So why would we even entertain the notion that we'd want the smurf Mete on our team? Detroit declines Danault wants between $5.5 mil to $6.0 mil on his next contract and Mete is too small for Detroit's D core.

Montreal declines anyway. Danault is worth a whole lot more than that.

Agreed, it's bad for both teams. Danault will be turning 28 years old next year wanting close to $6 million per season. That's not how Yzerman is operating he's going with a much younger core group in the next year or two.

I think you need to check Caufield's stats both from this year and last year. He finished with 19-17-36 totals last season and already has 4-4-8 totals in 6 games this season. Those are some weird stats for a guy who can only shoot.
