NO BRASSARD!! Its time to let the kids play. Also why did you deal komarov we have enough space to keep that contract for another year.

Well, I can easily live without Brassard, but I think he played well with JGP in the playoffs and there is not a single youngster that could break the roster on LW . The prospect pool sucks, neither drafting nor developing has been up to par. Yes, I think Bellows would be fine there, but I very much doubt that he gets another chance after his substance abuse problem. Ho-Sang ditto. We could have Leo there, but he will block a younger player just as you said Brassard would. And I much rather have Brass at 1x1.3m than Leo at 2x3m.

Detroit will take Komarov with Bellows and also a 3rd for a conditional 7th. You're not getting assets back for a cap dump, you have to SPEND assets to offload.

Zero chance we're sending a pick back.

The prospect pool doesn’t suck (it’s average) , the main problem is in the AHL where Thompson tries to turn every forward prospect into a 4th line grinder and in the NHL Trotz always goes with the veteran even if that player doesn’t deserve it.

Koivula has 8 pts in his last 6 games in the best league in Finland. I would switch him back to wing and give him a shot on pageau’s lw.
