Why would Tampa have in any interest in Mete? ABB only gets moved for Tyler Johnson or Yanni Gourde not Alex Killorn whom still is a good asset.

Montreal does none of these trades. Killorn is only a slight upgrade on Armia and his contract isn't favorable.

These trades make us worse now and it makes our cap situation worse.

Because Mete is on a minimum salary and is a capable NHL defensemen. Tampa may not have any choice. If no one took Johnson for free, they will have to just take what they can get to get under the cap.

I disagree. Killorn is a 30 goal scorer and Armia has never scored 20. Killorn is good insurance when Tatar leaves after this season or gets traded. And I am confused how 4,455,000 for a 30-goal scorer is not good value?

It is good value, but you're forgetting that Armia is quite a good player. Points aren't everything. I don't know why everybody on this site thinks that is what makes a player good or bad

Killorn never scored 30 goals.
He did score more than 20 only once in his career.

You are right. my bad. He was projected to score 30 if last season would have been finished. Killorn has more than 35 points every year. Armia only has one 30 point season. If Armia's new contract is similar to his current one ($2.5-$3 mill), I would rather Killorn at $4.5

I don't agree. Neither player will be given top 6 minutes and 4.5 Million is quite a lot for a 3rd liner.
