Tbh I don't think many flames fans like this deal unless the maple leafs agrees to retain some cap, I wouldn't do it.

I’d do it honestly, a 30 goal right shot winger is exactly what this team needs. I would probably try to trade Mangiapane instead of Dube for cap reasons (and also he’s more established as a top 6 capable guy himself which would probably be more appealing in a package to the Leafs) but I doubt Toronto is trading Nylander.

nylander gives u much needed fire power in the front, but idk how this makes sense for them money wise, they wouldnt want another 3c they have one, if theyre trading nylander they trading him for an elite prospect and a high pick to get a d from another team and make room or a solid top 4 d from the flames and with the flames losing brodie as it is idk who theyd move, like nylander will give u 30+goals 70+ points, and will run ur powerplay in case gaudreau leaves, but i think leafs would want more and flames cant give tht, flames would easily win the deal, leafs would make a really big mistake trading him

I like dube and the first is nice. We don’t really have any use for Bennett tho. Would like a young defencemen that can fill the #4 d spot for the leafs.

This is pretty accurate. The Leafs probably aren't trading him for a package of lesser pieces because it's pretty clear they believe the high end of the roster is most important, but if we were to hypothetically discuss that type of trade to Calgary, Mangiapane would probably be a must in whatever the package is.
