Tampa does not need to pay to dump cap on a guy like Johnson. He just wont get any return but he's too good to also require a bribe. This isn't Loui Eriksson here.

I agree he’s no Eriksson but Tampa will need to pay up if they want to get rid of his contract that goes up until 2024. If he didn’t require a bribe someone would have claimed him off waivers for free. Now especially with the flat cap the lightning will have to sacrifice a couple picks to move him.
