I'm not sure how much Hoffman wants. I read somewhere he was waiting for Vancouver to clear cap space so he could sign there.

But Benning would have to trade Loui Eriksson for that to happen. Benning has said he's not using first round picks or top prospects to move Loui's awful contract. My guess is Benning buys him out next summer.

NJ could certainly use Hoffman but I haven't heard anything to believe he wants to play there. Perhaps he does. I just haven't heard anything about it.

If he actually wants that then he needs to stop dreaming, and jump back into reality and sign something that is reasonable.

Kinda meaningless what a "player wants". Pre Covid Hall probably wanted 10m X 7 and he settled for 8m X 1. Hoffman in a cap flat league this year and next and with few teams will be cap space, has little leverage
