This ia about what I had when i did this. I had Foegele getting a 3 million by 3 year deal.

I doubt we see both Martinook and McGinn back next year. We would more than likely see 1-2 ELCs on the 4th line with Martinook as the 13th forward. Take the money saved and get a legit back up. Ned just isnt it. He'll be a 3rd option goalie for most of his career.

Also, Vegas wont retain on Patches.

I have the small retain for this season because I was still short 200k after moving out Gardiner. I agree on McGinn and martinook I just added them to fill out the roster.

I think we would end up moving out Nino to someone this season in hopes that Gardiner regains value in his 2nd season. Nashville would make sense as Nino's contract would expire the same time as Forsberg, so, Nino's contract wouldnt hinder keeping forsberg for them. Not sure the 'cost.'

the canes wouldnt have to pay to move nino in my opinion. He has a bad year but he still has value since he has put up 40-50 points on several occasions.

IMO, if that was offered to Buffalo they would find a way to clear the cap space for Jake.
Unfortunately the Sabres have several bad contracts, but Jake is priced right.

I'd be pretty hesitant to take on Gardiner from the Sabres' standpoint. He's very risky to me with how much his play dipped last year, and I don't really want risky with 3 years left at 4 per. Especially since we don't really have the necessary cap space in the first place.

I'd pass unless we can send some salary your way, but that probably defeats the point of this trade.
