I think the value is fair for two extra years on Parise's deal could throw in a third if Wild pushed it.

The problem was the Wild did not want to retain any salary at the time of the proposed trade.

Yea that would have been interesting to see how different the islanders handled the playoffs. But also yea there would have been more on the return. They were trying to get koivu too but when he wouldn’t waive they made the Jean Gabriel trade after that there weren’t many picks to send back to mn. That’s how I died.
