Description
Just spit balling ideas. No idea how NJ views PK, but just wanted to see what a change of scenery would like that and what people see his value at? Neal was traded because of cap space, neither player plays at the level of their contract either, NJ saves in the long run but PK is the better player. Add? or just no uckin way?

Ranta Larsson is just a feeler trade? Rumours are they were taking calls (everyone knows that) they asked for a first nothing happened. Do they take something like this? A second and a top 4D they could flip? Oilers make trade because they acquired PK, Larsson expendable after?

Ignore cap space, scratched players are taxi/black aces squad may not count towards cap ?

Trades
1.
EDM
  1. Subban, P.K.
Additional Details:
New Jersey saves a few bucks
NJD
  1. Neal, James
Additional Details:
Oilers have a ton of wingers now, get one less year of Neal but take on a lot of extra money, Oilers have a good amount of cap space next year so it may not hurt as bad, prime pk would be sweet too.
2.
EDM
  1. Raanta, Antti
Additional Details:
Arizona should trade one of their goalies, good chance they lose one at the expansion draft, they have 3 starters anyways, not sure about their D and if they would like a guy like Larsson. He's solid, could always flip him at the deadline, I noted value in the other description. I also know they asked for a first, which I don't think they will get, they need to trade a goalie for expansion purposes and recoup assets just as much as other teams need goaltending. It's not like the Oilers don't have a starter or anything.
ARI
  1. Larsson, Adam
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
I like Larsson, but Oilers need better goaltending and with the compressed season? two starters that can split time would be solid plus good chance Larsson walks at the end of the season anyways. I don't think he gets traded if the Oilers play well and make a push for the playoffs but PK trade makes him expandable here. In real life if Oilers fail he's worth a second, maybe a late first depending on the team pushing for a playoff spot shoring up D depth

I think fo New Jersey that they would rather have Subban with him being better and having less term. It's not like their in a cap bind anyway. I think that Arizona should look to trade Raanta and I'm sure they'd love a 2nd, but they want a forward not D-man

I was thinking that same thing about Subban, I was looking at teams and wondered what a PK trade ould like. I'm sure if the Oilers added they may consider? And fair enough in the Raanta trade, I'm sure the Oilers will make a a few more offers for him closer to TDL

I really like the Raanta trade for Arizona. Essentially, the Coyotes are exchanging one UFA for another and picking up a second-round draft pick. And I don't think the fact that Larsson is a RD would discourage Arizona: right now, they have only Chychrun and OEL under contract for 2021-2022, and are going to have to re-sign one of Oesterle or Lyubushkin before the expansion draft just to qualify a d-man for it.

I feel like it would be hard to say no unless they get a better offer, I know they asked for a first but I'm not sure what all the counter offers were.
