Why is Barbashev on LTIR but not Steen and Tarasenko, who are both on top lines

Schwartz - O'Reilly - Perron
Schenn - Thomas - Kyrou
Sanford - Bozak - Blais (Tarasenko)
MacEachern (Steen) - Barbashev - Sundqvist

Krug - Parayko
Dunn- Faulk
Scandella - Gunnarsson

Binnington
Husso

Flip Schenn and Schwartz as you like, start Tarasenko with limited minutes on the third line and move him up as he gets up to speed by the end of the season and ready to be on the top line by playoffs.

I would be all for those forward lines exactly as you have them. I would like to see Sanford get bumped up to Thomas' line when we need a goal, though. On the other hand, I want to keep Parayko with Scandyman, at least at first, so Colt can open up his offensive game. I think Chief starts Krug with Faulk. If anyone bumps up to partner Colt55 I'd rather it be Dunn (at least as things stand now).

My thought process with a Krug-Parayko pairing is that I think they complement each other really well. Not that that always means that they're going to be a good pairing, but Parayko is really really good at shutdown stuff and Krug obviously is known for his offense, so there's a natural support there that I think could be interesting. I think long-term Dunn-Parayko is the pairing for sure, but I figured they'd start Dunn-Faulk this season since they were a pairing most of last year. I'm not sure about a Scandella-Parayko pairing at 5v5 when we're counting on Parayko in a more "all situations" capacity but with Krug and Faulk presumably penciled in on the power play I think Scandella-Parayko would be a good rested pairing to lean on for the PK and hopefully we see some of the shutdown magic from the end of the season there.
