If he wanted to play in Toronto, he would have signed there. Wait until the deadline. We will likely be sellers and he may want to try and win the cup with the leafs.

In reality because of the short season and Patty's desire to beat Howe while wearing a Sharks jersey means he will not be chasing a Cup, because he won't get to game 45 before the TDL.

Fun fact: all Top 5 players select in the 1st Rd in 1997 now have a connection to the Leafs; 1st-Thornton (2021), 2nd-Marleau (2017-2019), 3rd-Jokinen (2015), 4th-Loungo (Leaf Draft pick), 5th-Brewer (also 2015).

That 4th line could be a difference maker in the playoffs
Their motto and theme song!!!

Ain’t as good as I once was, but I’m as good once as I ever was.
I honestly hope if the sharks are failing to make the playoffs that joe and marleau get one last shot at the cup together.

4/5 years ago that’s a top line in half the league And at worst worst top 6 on every team in the league, they aren’t the same players anymore but they would dominate other teams 4th line any given night

Vegas and islanders for starters would grind them to dust in their own zone.

These 3 are not weak, they are still gritty and tough just not as fast or lethal as they once where. On a 4th line playing 10-12 min a game they could be a strong 4th line still who also won’t be a liability if they get stuck out against a 1st line on occasions.
