Both teams decline. CBJ needs a C and TML doesn’t need another winger + marner is more valuable atm

No thanks. PLD would be an expensive 3C in a couple years. NYI also matches that offer sheet.

Columbus probably declines. Maybe in a couple years if they have some notion that they won’t be able to get a PLD long term deal done. I don’t think many people are wild about the Marner contract.
However, getting PLD for third line center is dumb, and the islanders match, and barzal isn’t a winger.
