Can someone tell me why Seattle is going to be the dumping ground for all bad contracts in the NHL?

I bet they follow the blueprint of Vegas rather than just take on Okposso, Ericksson, Johnson and every other crappy deal, but try to ice a team that might not contend like Vegas but at least be respectable. Francis is not an idiot and will pick and choose who he selects and which dumps he might take and exact a boatload for that.

Every "homer" thinks Seattle is gonna to take their bad contract. By the logic Seattle is going to have a cap of 150m of crappy players and 32 second round picks. You're right Seattle wants to contend and just can't afford to take few if any bad contracts.
