Who would you waive to taxi? If Neal is still a bit banged up he's a good choice, nobody will take him. Let him sit there and get to 100% health until someone is inevitably also injured. But would still have to send one of Russell or Koekkoek (or a fwd if 8D 13 Fwds is your preference) through waivers in this scenario too to get them to taxi. Can only have 3 on roster scratches.

Fair. Chiasson has an extremely slim, but existing chance of being taken by a low cap team for their powerplay. If he stood in front of the net in NJ with Subban and Vatanen firing in PP shots he could get enough garbage goals to net them a mid pick at the deadline. But in the end, that cap space would be really useful for the Oil this season and Neal can do the net front job almost as well when he's healthy.

I think Bouchard stays with the team for the entire season and eventually wins a fulltime job. He's ready.

Also, Haas isn't even skating yet, so I don't see him on the opening night roster. Probably Shore will get a contract and start at 4C. He's better than Haas and Khaira anyhow.
