Certainly a possibility but I get the feeling the team doesn't want to lose Byron's leadership and ability to play up and down the line-up

Agreed, Byron's speed is necessary, guy has two breakaway goals in the habs scrimmages, he's shown he still has it. He was also the teams leading scorer in the upset over Pittsburgh.

If I was picking. Probably send Poehling, Juulsen, and Fluery to Laval once their season starts and put other vets on the taxi squad.
