First one is good but Montréal is overpaying for Edler. Edler is injury prone and Vancouver will unload him for cheap.

I like these trades!. Not sure the guy we should be pursuing is Edler but he does qualify as a top pairing dman. Exactly what we need and if Emelin is the guy going the other way then I'm definitely good with this deal.

I don't want to trade McCarron either but Hanzal is lights out better then McCarron is right now. There is no debate. Right now as is, with this center group, we won't win a cup. It'll take a miracle. Hanzal will instantly make us way better up the middle and actually have a chance.

People have to realize that Arizona has been a bad team for a while now. Hanzal's numbers don't look all that great but if he were with MTL during MB's tenure, he'd of put up multiple 50+ pt seasons I assure you. He's an under the radar good second line center. If he plays alongside Pacioretty and Gallagher he'll put up very nice numbers as long as he stays healthy. IMHO he is the only real choice MTL has for this year. If we go any other route we'll pay for it somehow someway negatively. Hanzal makes the most sense in nearly every category and if we only lose one decent prospect in the process then so be it. I'd prefer draft picks to be honest but if Arizona wanted McCarron, I'd do it too.
