danault will make more. He's also from Quebec so I doubt he wants to be a Leaf, much less at a discount

If Lehtoen is a top 6 Dman, he gets more as UFA. Bennett as third liner LWer isn't worth 3m. Rather have the top Dman Dermot who will be cheaper than Bennett.

Sorry there is this illusion that others teams bottom end Dmen are so good and that Leafs Dmen are so lousy. Until there is some one better, he's a Leaf.
