My lineup for next game

Description
Forwards:

-Figured stacking the first 2 lines was a way to get more offense out of the group. Would be nice to see Meier play with Hertl and Kane. 2nd line is a downgrade but I think Gregor could do really well with better linemates and would make that 2nd line more dynamic.

-Third line stays basically the same except for replacing Gregor with Marleau. I thought Patty actually looked quite good at C there and he's a good 200 foot player with some speed. I think Gregor is a superior player, but in my opinion, Gregor is much more suited to a wing role than center. Marleau is better defensively and probably better on draws too.

- Fourth line is similar to last game but Handemark comes in at C. Wouldn't mind seeing what Gambrell has to offer, but the way the line is constructed here is better suited to handle STLs style of play. Also Handemark is actually a good Faceoff guy so we might win more than 0.000002% of the draws this upcoming game.

- Leonard is scratched because I think it's smart to shelter him a bit as he continues to develop. Also there's a possibility that he get's obliterated against the Blues you never know. Not necessarily because he doesn't deserve to play.

Defense:

- If Simmer returns, he gets paired back up with Burns hopefully improving Burns and subsequently the rest of the D core as well. (one can dream)

- Everything else is the same but Ferraro is moved to play with Knyzhov on the 3rd pairing. Hopefully that makes our defense less atrocious than if Middleton or Meloche were playing.

Goalies:

- Dubnyk in net (thoughts and prayers everyone)

Side note: I do really want to see how Balcers does when he gets here

Using analytics, Ferraro has been our best dman through the first two games, I would not do that. Put Simmer on the bottom to replace Middleton who was supbar at best. The third line actually controlled play super well, I wouldn't mess with it. They did let in a goal, but outshot the Yotes 12-4 and outchanced 6-1, it's a matter of time before they score. I see the idea of resting Leno, but Bob has been adamant if you play well you stay in the lineup, so he stays. I do think Handemark gets in a faceoff specialist due to the events of last game.

Kellman would have to be waived in order to go down to the taxi squad I believe. Unless he's waiver exempt. Not sure if he would get claimed, but just a side note as well.

No one is claiming Kellman.

Agreed on Ferraro. Just put Simek with Burns because that has historically been a good pairing. You could move ferraro onto Karlsson’s line and drop down Vlasic as well. Not a huge deal. 3rd line is good. I think moving Gregor could work but there’s no harm in keeping that line in tact as well.

As for Leonard I’m just scared he gets like headshotted by some goon like Bortuzzo or Schenn.
