i don't think he's that injury prone. in the last 4 seasons he's played 50+ games.

Okay well two seasons ago he was the 1B goalie so they split time.. then won the job

And one season ago he was injured by his own player during the outdoor game And aggravated it in the playoffs

Search gibson on this website an look at how many times hes been on the IR compared to grubi

The way I see it (and have seen it for quite some time), goaltending is not the issue for this team. If everyone is playing up to their potential, they're in pretty good shape but they're not getting much from the third line and the second line has been a mess thus far. There is no reason to go chasing after a guy like Gibby (as good as he is), especially if it's going to cost really good young players.

That in no way is predictive of future injuries. What happens if the Avs make a huge trade for Gibby and in his first game with them gets run over and tears his ACL?

gisbon's been on the ir 4 times, only missing a few days to two weeks at most.

gru missed 5 months last injury, more then gibson's career total. not a favourable comparison for grubauer.

It was a more substantial injury sure, but my point is, gibson gets injured all the time also, and it only matters in the playoffs

i wouldnt call that all the time. the injuries arent really an issue if he jumps right back in.

Still imo it would be insanely foolish to trade Byram, it will likely be close to a decade before the Avs have the opportunity to add a young talent like him.

I agree, no to trading Byram.
