The offer isn’t horrible, I just think VGK says no.

I think for the small cap savings this year, they would just rather keep both goalies at this point. Especially since their schedule tightens up now because of the missed Covid games, and Fluery has been significantly better then Lehner up to now.

even with turcotte, byfield, and kopitar still on the books for another 4 years? I realize I probably low balled him a bit being a recent top pick but they could use a young d like petterson.

Turcotte and Byfield are 19 and 18 years old, respectively. It's quite possible we don't see either in a top six role on the Kings for another 2+ seasons. In the meantime, Vilardi is the only guy on the books capable of filling in a 2C role. Both Lizotte and Carter have shown that they're not up to it.
