I mean MTL declines. Primeau is the successor of Price. Mantha has been slowly regressing. You should talk about that to Blaschill

Stop with the trash offer for Mantha, Armiais a joke and we don't need Primeau with Petruzzelli has been pretty much lights out for Quinnipiac. if you can't make a legit offer then don't even make one you're just embarrassing yourself.

I wouldn't say regressing. I think its just hard to keep playing for a really bad team(no offence Wing Fans) and continuously put in the 100% effort needed. But he is a pro so he should be able to do that. plus that wing team is awful, like really really bad.
Now, I want Mantha, just not at the cost of one of our best prospects, but unfortunately, it might take that.

Why is Mantha regressing? He’s only played 13 games this year and he’s still had 7 points. It’s not a great start for him but it’s not bad. Primeau is a solid prospect but he’s still yet to prove anything in the NHL and goalies are super inconsistent/unpredictable. The other pieces in the trade aren’t enough for the Wings ton even consider moving Mantha.

Agree with you. Probably Mantha would be a lot better on another team, but he is supposed to be one of Detroit's big weapon and leading the charge. Him and Larkin are not producing like they should. IMO I like Larkin as a leader but again he should have been a pts/per game guy. The only one on Detroit's side I like is Bertuzzi, in terms of performance, and he is injured.... (I haven't forgot Ryan but I mean he is a vet doing what he should have done the last couple of years if it wasn't for Dorion's visionary and extraordinary moves...)

If you look only at numbers Mantha has been decent for the last couple of years, but Tbh I really don't like his play since last season. Yeah he was almost a pts/per game, was injured last season and played for a pretty bad team, but his defensive play, and his efforts weren't there at all. He also had all the opportunities in the world playing like what 20-25min every night... That's why Laine was traded for less than is value on paper. The same goes for a lot of players... Drouin, Kane, Johansen back a couple years ago... You need to give your 100% and your defensive skillset needs to be on point. It'S not like he was playing with some cauldrons too... Bertuzzi, Larkin, Namestnikov this season....

You don’t get Mantha for a decent goalie prospect and filler pieces, let alone a retained Mantha. Mantha @3.2M for 3-4 years would have a ton of value league wide. Some will point to Cayden but let’s face it goalies are voodoo and don’t hold too much value until they establish themselves or are blue chip prospects (eg Askarov/Knight/Wallstedt)

Cause he is worth more then a cap dump for us, a goalie prospect and a 2nd. Kk + primeau sure. Or a first + primeau and poehling sure. But a 2nd a goalie and a nobody no thanks

and that's why he wont be traded then. Mtl isn't giving you a 20 year old center(KK) who is starting to look really good and Primeau for a 26 year old winger that has never topped 50 points (granted would have last year if played a full season).

And we never wanted to trade him so this works for us as well
