All of those players would have to quarantine, Vegas doesn't trade Smith, we aren't trading for Tanev's horrible contract and we don't need Ekholm

Riiiiiiight. Because the Tatar experiment in Vegas went soooo well the first time. Let's bring him back to sit in the press box and give up one of the better defensive forwards in the league to do so.

In the summer, teams called Vegas FO about players. They were told Smith won’t be moved. Hasn’t changed since.

He probably extends here after his deal is up. They are trading him. Especially for Tatar who didn’t work here before.
