Enough of these jokes

Created by: Shane_Kelly
Team: 2020-21 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 18, 2021
Published: Feb. 18, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
1st, Crosby is not going to get traded, as it is on the same level as the likelihood of an Eichel trade as of right now. Both theoretically could happen but at the end of the day, won't. 2nd, people are undervaluing how much someone like SIDNEY CROSBY is worth in a trade. He is still a top 5 player in the league and has won 3 cups.
Trades
PIT
  1. DeBrusk, Jake
  2. Studnicka, Jack
  3. Vaakanainen, Urho
  4. 2021 1st round pick (BOS)
  5. 2022 1st round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
I still do not think this is enough, and I also believe other teams can easily outbid the Bruins. 2nd at this point, this Bruins team is heading towards some mediocre years as Bergeron and Marchand decline and Krejci is gone so at this point, people should be all-in on making any move needed to win one more cup. Deal with the future later. it is in the future.

Again, if he was being traded, this is not happening.
IDK if u made the post cuz of my comment lol, but I will post it here too to make it clear:

"But yeah killing the ENTIRE future of the bruins to upgrade the 2C for like 2/3 years is an awful move.
3-5 years down the line that 8.7 Mil is gonna be a problem. Their lack of prospects will be a problem. And the lack of another 1st rounder will be a problem.
So cool the 2nd line has a much better Center. Great, they still arent gauranteed winners and their future is horrid."

This is a little different, but its just as bad. Bruins arent giving up their entire future (literally their two best prospects and two 1st rounders as well as their only other top 6 player outside of the perfection line... It would be horrible overall

Do it in NHL21 if you want, but not gonna happen in real life

Im not undervaluing him, just pointing out the facts of what he is worth TO THE BRUINS

Dreger seems to really think it has a chance of happening. I think debrusk, vaak, and two firsts is a solid offer, but Moore would probably have to be in there to even out salary.

I think the only way it could happen is if Sid wants out (if he wants to stay, he stays, if he wants to be traded, he’ll be traded), and there are a few phone calls between him and Bergeron. I think Bergeron and marchand could make a solid argument that they would have a couple years as cup favorites.

You act like Crosby is going to stink in 2 years, when Bergeron is playing at an elite level and is 2 years older than Crosby. 2nd, clearly, Debrusk is a fringe top-6 forward at best. He struggles to be consistent, and lacks proper dzone play. Giving up Studs and Vaak will hurt the future, but again they arent these out-of-this-world prospects that can change the franchise, cause if they were, they would have been in the lineup for the past few years. And if doing this trade wins them another cup or two, there is no argument to be made. Plus those first will be from 28-31/32 which when you get to the bottom of the 1st round players in the 28-60 range are all the same.

I’m guessing you haven’t gotten into one of the super defensive battles with him where he starts talking about all the facts he’s given you, which are literally just his subjective opinion. Then his second account comes in for backup. That and he’s just a ridiculous homer. I can’t stand the defensive stuff on here.

I could not disagree with this take more. If the Bruins lose Debrusk from their current roster and add Crosby, they are odds on favorites to win the Cup. Probably for the next two. So yes, losing Vaak and Studncika would hurt, but you are likely looking at two trips to the finals - maybe 3. Sid's last two full were 100 and then 47 in 41 games. If he cuts his production in half by the end of the deal you are paying 8.7m for ONE year of 45pts and a solid defensive center. Not ideal, but not horrible. He isn't falling off that hard either.

I know it's a weird season, but Hoffman, Duclair, Smith were all just signed relatively cheap and will produce the same if not more than debrusk. Toffolli also.

Sure they take hit in 4 or so years, but Sweeney's strength in drafting has been 2-4th rounds. If 1st's have been questionable.

While this trade offer might not be enough for Crosby, it doesn't matter. Because Crosby has those three letters next to his name, NMC. If he wants out and he wants to Join Bergy, Marchy, and the Bruins, then this is the best offer they can make. So Pitt takes the offer before things turn ugly.

What im saying, if you care to listen logically, is that he isnt going to be worth 8.7 million in 3+ years (i said 3-5 years lol) so wrong AND wrong
lmao im not saying he is gonna stink, and I said 3+ years... so do u have a point or just saying the opposite of what I said

And they still wouldn't be Cup favourites. Too young on blueline and not deep enough up front.
