WILL NOT HAPPEN

Kerfoot is a 3.5 million dollar left shot C that requires expansion protection I think there would be less than zero desire to make this move for Calgary unless there is a drastic overpay.

Bennett is not going to move this season, he is an RFA that turns out to be somewhat valuable if the playoffs roll around. There should be no rush to move him as there is no harm in keeping him, still a movable piece in the off season and no harm no foul if he is selected by Seattle. He can play to try improve his trade value or he can suck on the fourth line or press box.

I don't know where the idea of Kerfoot came to be, if he is constantly being moved out by Leaf fans on this site he clearly isn't a good enough C to compete for spot down the middle, Backlund and Ryan can fill those holes better, if he is pushed to the wing then it's more of a back log on the left side. In no way should the Flames be giving up assets to acquire him.

If this post stops just one Bennett for Kerfoot trade then it has done its job.

yeah, of course it's not going to happen, the leafs arnt going to trade a guy who can play 2W and 3C for someone who isnt as good as him having such an awful season. They arnt downgrading because Bennett grew a mustache once and is 'tough'

Kerfoot, does not require expansion protection...he could be left unprotected if need be. IMO Bennett isn't going to be qualified at his 2.55m minimum offer and is going to be a UFA, cause 2.55m is too much for what he does.

"Leafs actually need Kerfoot" is the most important part of what you said, the drop off at C after him is steep and Bennet would be srictly a winger, it came out at the start of the year he asked to move to the wing after a couple games at C, the Flames fans who keep putting him down the middle are delusional at best.
