This does not make sense for us
Zibanejad has like 3 points or something this year, and you want us to give up an elite center prospect and a 1st, as well as a good bottom 6 player?

Do NOT let Seattle take Lemieux!! He is exactly what we were lacking during our previous SC window

Actually didn't edit this to swap for Denisenko.

Makes a bit more sense then. But yeah absolutely.

That is true but you can't deny we had nice pieces at both ends (MSL, Stepan, Nash, McDonagh, Stralman, etc)

Yet Lemieux brings so much that we lacked, his energy truly is crucial to our team. Give Hajek, Howden and a 3rd to Seattle if you have, IMO

You’re right in that it doesn’t make any sense. MZ’s breakout 2019 season was largely due to his absurdly high shooting % (believe it was 19.7%). He’s still a good player, although his underlying numbers this year have been awful. Only one year left on his deal when FLA acquires him, so I’m not sure why they give up arguably their top prospect and a first round pick for one year of service.

I honestly have no idea what you're trying to describe. I mean if you want like a "sandpaper" guy, Rooney and Nash are both pretty great at that. If you want someone who can fight Oleksiak is pretty great at that. If you want someone who's a net front guy, Gauthier is pretty great at that.

I mean this team as constructed is pretty thought out. Gauthier/Nash/Rooney were all among the top 20 in forechecking pressures/60. They're an optimal 4th line.

Deff not paying a 3rd rounder to keep a 4th liner...

In 4 words, Lemieux is a «pain in the ass» and we need that

Right but he's not the only pain in the ass lol. And there's already that here. Watch out for the tunnel vision bud.

Now THATS an Eichel Offer. Still not 100% sure I'd expect but that is MUCH better than I've seen from other Rangers fans as of late

I mean swap Lundell with Denisenko. I'm not sure we can get that much from Florida...
