Our core is five players. Petey, Hughes, Boeser, Horvat, Demko.

Hoglander, Podzolzin and Miller are the near core group right now.

Despite all the talks on Boeser, none of these 8 are for trade. Van isn't rebuilding again even if we tank this year. (next year too expectedly)

I understand the rest of the team has little value but Van isn't looking for much other than cap relief. Basically there's no big moves to be made right now in Van.

Why would the Canucks trade Demko at all for basically nothing? Demko and a 3rd is not what it costs to take Virtanen's conract. Especially when the best player you get is 30 year old Pavel Francouz
