Love Freddie but he's 31 we need a good young goaltender that can be cost controlled and Morgan Reilly id want to keep but you can't give up nothing to get everything you need but with the emergence of holl and muzzin pairing they could definitely take over the "top" pairing and sandin can get into the line up and it's time for him to grow in the NHL (same with Liljergen just alternating with Dermott)

You need good young goaltending and your expectation is a rebuilding team will give up their future goaltender and Bratt for 1 year of Morgan and a rental goalie they have no need for? Also they have to retain on PK?

This is how I see it.
Andersen and Brooks for Blackwood. Andersen isn't as good as Blackwood but Brooks helps close the gap. Dunno on that one. Blackwood is having a breakout season and if he keeps it up, Toronto wins this portion of the trade. I think that's pretty fair but given Andersen's age, Blackwood takes the cake.
1-0 TOR
Subban and the 3rd for Rielly. No comment. Devils win that portion.
1-1
Jesper Bratt for a 2nd. I would say its fair, but Toronto is a contending team, so that 2nd wouldn't have as much value. Bratt is having a darn good season so far, so Toronto would probably win that portion.
2-1 Toronto Wins
Pretty fair deal now that I think about it. Just a hunch, If this trade gets overhyped, Blackwood will bust. It's better off for New Jersey Devils to hang on to Blackwood for now.
Overall, Nice Thinking.

Andersen is a UFA and he's on his declining years. Brooks has no impact currently. If Blackwood had a value of 8, Andersen would be a 2 and only a 6 if he was resigned due to his expected years remaining at peak level. Brooks maybe adds a 0.X value. Devils are building for 2-3 years from now where Andersen has less value and Blackwood has more.

Part one is a hard decline.

Part two you said it, I don't need to.

Part three, every team would rather have Bratt than a second, even if it's close (I don't think it is) but still, it does nothing for NJ.
