There's no way Spezza should play wing to Boyd. Other than that seems like a likely lineup!

I believe they already mentioned Vesey would be a scratch, so it might be Petan on that 4th line spot.

Yes he should. He doesn’t have the wheels and stamina anymore. That doesn’t mean he shouldn’t take faceoffs.

Pretty sure he’s just been taking draws, playing more like a winger

I would honestly rather that, vesey has been a none factor and petan has looked good

So?!?!?!?

He’s a minus player. You move him to the wing and maybe that improves.

That is what I was wondering too but he plays so little 5v5 I couldn’t recall.

I'm pretty sure not, but I may be wrong.

I haven't taken +/- into consideration for a few years now. But maybe he can improve his -2 at wing ... I guess.

I take it into consideration for 4th liners and bottom pair D. Both are sheltered positions. 9/10 shifts for the 4th line it is head to head with the other teams 4th line.

Not only do you have the advantage of a bit more tenacity on D and using a younger players wheels but you’re getting better offence from Spezza.

Let him take faceoffs and Save wind.

Except, unlike most 4th liners, Spezza takes minutes on the PP, where you can only take a minus. Which he has. That makes him tied with Boyd for 5X5 +/-. He also has taken the odd shift up in the lineup, which Boyd hasn't. There's no debate, Spezza is the best faceoff man on the team so he should take the draws. If he moves over to the wing after, so be it. Nylander should also be taking more draws in the place of Kerfoot. Especially on his strong-side of the ice. He's a career 50% on draws and Kerfoot is 47%. They too can flip over once play starts.

Lets just hope the boys step up and tonight with a great all-around team effort. If anything, history says we do step up sans Matthews!

Yup, looking for a bigger g night from the whole team, not just Tavares... but especially Tavares.

Absolutely! And I really hope the two goals get Willy back in a good place. And at some point, Soup's rotten puck luck has to turn around for him. He's been a revelation, on the PK especially.
