Ben Chiarot busts his hump every night by playing the body, defending his teammates, and blocking shots. You're going to 'send a message' to him because he's a bottom pairing defenceman who's been put in a top-pairing position? No wonder everyone hates Habs fans

This is extreme, what is the message that you want to piss all your players off?

I'm following all the laval games this year for the first time, and in my opinion Poehling is not ready for a call up. Jerking him around just to "send a message" to Danault would do more harm than good. Same goes for Frolik - he is not an upgrade over Byron.

Ylonen could help the powerplay, Vejdemo's speed could be useful, and Weal could help on faceoffs (but his contract works against him). Those are honestly the only options in Laval right now from what I've seen.
