Come to think of it, DAL and COL have also had some issues with attendance in the past, they probably should have been moved.

STL and CHI used to be really bad too, probably should have thought about moving them.

Weird what happens to attendance when the team is good, isn't it? You know New Jersey hasn't been higher than 24th in attendance in almost a decade? Most of those years they slot in at 27th.

If you're looking for every market to be above average in attendance, you're never going to be satisfied. If you think we should jettison the teams who don't hit a certain threshold, do you think a 16 team league would be better or worse than the current situation?

Arizona doesn't have a big market, moving them to Houston would help

I would love Harford but I don't think Harford is possible since the Hurricanes have been using alot of Whalers jerseys so it would be awkward. Im not from Canada but would Saskatchewan have a big fan base?

Well, the whole province has about 1.2 mil, with the largest city, Saskatoon having about 350 000 people. Hockey is huge here but there not enough people that the nhl would reasonably consider a team there, as much as I hate to say it. But pretty much everyone would become a fan I'd think, I think if they got a team they wouldn't have too much trouble drawing fans, and the how good the team was wouldn't affect anything.

Yeah, the organization needs to be audited and they need to start doing better. That doesn't mean they should be moved.

If there's no NHL team in Arizona, your star player might not even be an NHL player.

It would be really cool, yes. As for which team people cheer for, it's kind of a mixed bag. If I had to guess, the most popular team might be the oilers. Jets are close. There are also a surprising amount of leafs fans too. Habs and flames too.

That's irrelevant, they can cheer for the stars or a california team or something. Put an ahl team, make a new league and put a team there, whatever. But nhl is not working there, complete dumpster fire or a franchise.
