Not deep enough

Description
The Penguins are simply not deep enough.

Jason Zucker is really the only major injury the Penguins have at forward. Don't try and tell me that losing Evan Rodrigues was a big deal. The Penguins are currently playing both Anthony Angello and Josh Currie on their second PP unit. It is simply not good enough but for the Penguins to get better they need to get deeper- and to do that they probably need to make a trade. The problem is.... look at the draft picks.... and the prospect pool. They are nonexistent.

Below are my "lines" in a perfect world. The Penguins need a third line center and a top six winger. Problem is... I have no idea how they get them or even who to get.

5 1/2 defensive pairs and 6 2/3 forward lines looks pretty deep to me

Oh wow, I didnt know Mike Sullivan had a Capfriendly account, hey coach! Can you tell all of us why you refuse to play Kapanen in a top 6 capacity despite the fact that is the roll he is best suited for?

(In strong Boston accent)

"Well Kasperi is a good plyr but I don't see him in a top six role. I would much prefer to have someone like Dominik Simon."

you been watching too much red wings hockey if you think Ryan is a 1st line player. Like there are reasons they can't win games.

this team shouldn't even bother trading picks or prospects at this point. They got 3 prospects(4 if you count POJ) who could possibly do something in the near future. They can't afford to give them away.
The biggest issue this team has made is chasing instead of letting things come to them.
I don't see them doing much of anything this year. But next year they dump cap, hit FA to do what JR refused to do, build a 3rd line. They only need 2 pieces, and if Poulin can fill one role you are down to 1.

I agree they can't afford to give away anything. I hope Poulin or Legare can fill a role too

I am still holding out hope they bring him in this year. He should get at least 9 games. They have nothing to lose.
