Have seen anywhere from a 3rd to a 1st on here so split the difference. Doesn't play a premium position like those 2 either.

Yeah, the guys I listed could potentially cost a bit more. Boyd is a guy I like though who we both have. He wouldn't be expensive to add and I think would fit well on this team.

Roster Overview
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jets12</b></div><div>you mentioned how you like the pens depth but what dou you think of the third line? from an outside perspective it seems like they lack some middle 6/top 9 guys in those spots to be a real contender. really good defense though having a good defensive guy play with Karlson and Letang are a must.</div></div>
The depth comment was for the farm team Wilkes-Barre Scranton (WBS). More so if we have injuries, we have players that won't be drowning when they get called up. I am a little uneasy on the 3rd line and mentioned that in the description. Definitely a place to address at the deadline. If they had a 4th line like this though, I would be happy. Chippy and can contribute on the scoresheet occasionally.

Just saw how much run they were giving Shea, I think both make it through waivers, so it really doesn't matter. Who do you think the pens should target at the deadline?

Like the Petry - Ellis Idea. Philly gets a stop gap for the next two years, and the pens take on the Ellis contract and just spend the extra money

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>The_Cannon</b></div><div>Granlund has been my cheater player. Reguardless of how he performs I’ve always wanted him on the jackets and he wouldn’t be a bad option as a stop gap.
Maybe granlund and a second for roslovic??</div></div>
Is Roslovic a cap dump in this scenario or is he returning some value? Cause I think the pens wold rather just give like a 3rd or 4th attached to Granlund instead of the 2nd and taking back his cap hit.

I quite like this actually. I don't know if the values are accurate or not, but they don't seem to be too far off. Only change I would make is have Gaudreau as the 3rd line center and Carter 4th RW or in the press box. If the Pens can find a way to move Dumo, Ghost is someone the should seriously consider.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Pensfan303</b></div><div>I think Florida would rather have Blueger instead of Kappy in the deal because Blueger has 1 year left and could just walk giving them more cap space rather than having another year of Kappy.
I also think it's a tad expensive for us. Ty Smith or POJ could probably fetch us Duclair alone. the rest is a slight overpay for Bennett in my eyes.
As for kappy just send him to Vancouver after. We all know its bound to happen haha</div></div>
Haha, Moving Blueger instead would be fine. Probably have to pay to move Kapanen at this point, but either way it could work. Florida would probably also like the extra cap space that provides. Could Maybe take out Poulin or the 3rd after that to even it out more.

Put together a potential deadline centered around those two. https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/3886322

Carter can't be in the lineup anymore. He can't skate, and anytime he is on the ice, bad things happen for the pens!

Why do we need what will be a mid to late first rounder, when by the time that pick is ready, the pens are gonna be in a rebuild anyway? The prospect can be changed to like Hallander or something, not a huge deal. A 1st, 3rd and relatively young player with some potential seem like an okay package for a rental that is -23 on the year.

I agree Kane is not going to Pitt, but what do you think about Toews? I think he would be a way better fit for them and would fill a lot of the teams holes. Made an ACGM of it, let me know what you think?

I'd imagine the high water mark for a deal for him would be a Giroux-type return, but he could also handcuff their return with his NTC.</div></div>
I could see that, but it would require a lot of things to go right for the hawks. Even still, Giroux was a year younger than Toews would be, has had better past production and still got packaged with a former 1st rounder, former fourth rounder and a 5th.

Not so sure Pacioretty would be a good fit.</div></div>
Managing minutes and 4C/4RW roles don't scream 3+ million dollars, sounds more like the words you use for players making the league minimum. Most of the point of Pacioretty is that you have 5+ mmiillion to sign a top 6 winger to play with Geno if you didn't have that Carter contract to deal with.

I really hope this isn't how it turns out. This is almost the exact team from last year that lost in the first round just with everyone a year older. A change in 3rd pairing won't make enough of a difference to get this team anywhere further.

Yes, and that's the point of the ACGM team. Given these conditions, a Miller deal is possible. It really only takes the one move to free up that money so it's absolutely possible.

After Last Nights Dealings
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sqm918</b></div><div>No they can’t lol. Cap increase isn’t guaranteed, JJ’s buyout only goes down a mil, and Zuck is 5.5. That’s 6.5. Maybe 7.5 if cap goes up. Still not 8.5. You think Dumos replacement plays for free? Like I said, no plausible</div></div>
You also have the 4 mil when Miller's deal expires, plus 2.2 from Bluegers deal. Zucker and Blueger can be replaced by cheap youth (Poulin, Nylander, etc). Hoping POJ has a good year, you can move him into the top 4 and find a 3LD. If you click on the long-term outlook tab, the pens would have 24 million in cap space next offseason (not including any cap increase) with about 13-14 going to Miller and Jarry, leaving 10 to replace Zucker, Dumo and Blueger. Doesn't seem too far fetched to me...
